Class Action Lawsuit Against Nova in the Works

If you were under the impression that everything for Nova will eventually turn out fine since there hasn't been much new to report, think again. According to the Daily Yomiuri [in Japanese], a class action lawsuit against Nova is in the works.

According to the article, a group of lawyers in Kyoto and Saga are planning a class action suit against Nova this month over the payment of refunds, and expect about 50 students to join in the suit. Nova's brand name once again gets kicked to the curb making it all the more difficult to attract new students. The lawsuit will surely cause more students to cancel their contracts and demand refunds.

Let's take a look at the hole Nova finds itself in:

*Six-month partial suspension of business by METI

*The Nova brand is mud

*A real need for cash to deal with the increase in canceled contracts

*No real interest from other companies to partner with Nova

*No money for advertising, meaning fewer new students

*Class action lawsuit on the way

Unless Nova makes major changes to its business or finds itself an angel investor, it may very well be doomed come December. Given this state of affairs, how can anyone consider working for Nova? You would be better off working for one of their competitors.
