Dammit! You made me re-read this thread. Now that a new movie has been released, I'll have to add something:

-The Millenium Falcon ended up on the scrap heap because Han couldn't pay for annual the spaceship inspection.
-Rey's parents aren't a mystery; it's all in the family registry at City Hall. The climactic scene in Episode VIII is a showdown between Rey and a First Order bureaucrat who refuses to give Rey a copy of her family registry because the wrong hanko was used.
-Luke's original lightsaber is returned to him as good as new. That's just the way things are.
-The Resistance refuses to acknowledge that destroying the Death Star killed all the Ewoks on Endor, and that even if that event did happen, well, shoganai.
-Episodes VIII and IX are basically repeats of Episode VII because it worked out so well. Episode X is a complete reboot.
-Planet Takodana is renamed Takodanobaba after the famous Shinjuku neighbourhood.
